Sound wave Wedding Ring

"Japanese artist, curator and designer of conceptual jewelry, Sakurako Shimizu has created a intuitive method for spouses to remember their special day forever. Entitled the Waveform Series, Sakurako laser cuts shapes of the waveform/sound bite of your choice using sound editing software. Definitely a different take on an extremely old concept." More on the jump...
That says "I do"
Here's where they record and get the image of the actual sound wave.
They come in necklaces too, oh my!? I personally like the rings better, but not for a wedding ring...I'd have my ring say something more clever...which I have yet to think of yet...

Rasterbator ::: Make your OWN Posters/Wallpaper!

I know it kinda sounds naughty to say Rasterbator, but this FREE online web program allows you to print ANY image up to 20 meters long! You can create your very own color or black and white posters by printing them on your regular paper (you can definitely use better quality). I actually used this site 3 years ago to print a huge poster for my dorm and I LOVED IT!

The site will produce a .pdf file of your image so that you can print it each page consecutively and then just arrange the sheets like a puzzle! You can mount them on foam boards, frame them, or get creative with it.

Check out how the program works and super sweet examples of what you can do with Rasterbator!

Each GRID represents a sheet of paper.
You can easily adjust the the picture to how ever many pages you want it to print on.

This program as the name implies...Rasterbates!
You can adjust the size of the dots such as below.

These are good examples of sheets mounted on foam boards.

It can definitely style up a room.
Make it your WALLPAPER.

As you may know... your printer sometimes won't print to the edge of the paper thus leaving a white border around each separate sheet, but feel free to cut those borders to seemlessly connect the image like this one here.

Cover a whole wall!

Or create a unique headboards.

And the cool frame jobs right here.

Gettin' creative.

Hope you liked them...
Now go make your own!

P.S. If you do make one send the picture to us! dna@dnaimagery.com

Music Spotlight:::CunninLynguist x Hip Hop

CunninLynguist are just that. The trio are one of the most lyrically profound groups I've come across in quite some time. Info/pix/music after the jump.

CunninLynguists are a hip hop trio from Lexington, Kentucky. The group consists of Deacon The Villain, Natti, and Kno. I stumbled across them about two years ago in a parking lot next to the Santa Barbara Harbor. These are a few of my favorite cuts.
"You best fix whatever's wrong and just move on and get on with it, Cause, You'll catch bigger fish in the sea if you manage not to drown in it, It's sad, but proud or not, most your standards go down a notch, When loneliness drinks at the bar you set too high" - Love Aint

Music Spotlight:::M.E.D. x Blueprint x Hip Hop

Last week we did music from around the world. This week I'm going to roll with some good old fashioned hip-hop. I couldn't even find pictures on google for these two artists, but you have to respect their abilities on a microphone. Check out M.E.D. & Blueprint after the jump.

MED aka Medaphoar is a rap duo from Oxnard, CA. I didn't even know that until I checked their myspace today actually. They have a nice laidback feel to their style.

M.E.D. - Can't Hold On

Blueprint is an American rapper from Columbus, Ohio. He is the founder and owner of Weightless Recordings and is also signed to Rhymesayers Entertainment. He is also one half of the group Soul Position with producer RJD2, and a member of the rap group Greenhouse Effect. He has a great knack for telling stories & tying metaphors seemlessly throughout his rhymes.

Blueprint - Liberated + Who You Talking To?

"I've seen women kill more careers than any whack album did, When she met you, she loved your songs, But later on she made you feel like what you do is wrong, Now she tellin you you're not givin your heart, Because you can't find a way to put her before your art" - Liberated

There is a bonus track "Who You Talking To?" attached to the end of that song as well.

The Congolese Sape ::: African Fashion

Sape is French slang for “dressing with class”. The French often use the expression “il est bien sape” to talk about a sharp dressed man. The term “sapeur” is a new African word that refers to someone that is dressed with great elegance.

However, the Congolese sapeurs are not only concerned about elegance, but also with good manners, politeness and morality. Generally, they only dress up on weekends and special occasions. Designer brands of suits and accessories are a big deal to Sapeurs. Complete attire can cost up to 1500 euros, although ironically, many of them don have a job. To get the whole outfit that can get them the sought-after prestige can take several years. Most of them start up with suits borrowed from established sapeurs that initiate them in the secrets of the Sape. The Congolese Sape, except for very rare exceptions, is a man thing, which sometimes is inherited whereas most of the times is acquired by choice.

It shows how the sape style started out as imitation of Parisian style and elegance and a desire to escape congo mentally and physically. it was driven underground and became a rebellious fashion expression by the youth in the 70’s in response to mobutu sese seko’s repressive “authenticity” decree that changed congo to zaire, rochereau to tabu ley and banned the wearing of imported/western clothing styles.

Check out more pictures after the jump.

Lovin' it.

Honda Hydrogen Concept Car

Honda came up with this hydrogen concept car at the LA Auto Show. It kind of has the body style of a Lamborghini. Looks very futuristic and sporty. The front looks weird to me though. I wonder what the performance will be like for hydrogen cars? More info and pics on the jump...

"In an age when there are fewer and fewer surprises at auto shows as embargoes get broken and information leaks out early, Honda pulled off a big surprise at the LA Auto Show this morning. After showing the year old CR-Z concept and the Insight hybrid concept that debuted at the Paris show, product planning manager Dan Bonawitz unveiled a brand new concept. The FC Sport was created to show off the packaging flexibility that is possible with hydrogen fuel cells. Using the V-Flow fuel cell stack and electric drivetrain from the FCX Clarity, the FC Sport is a three-seat sports car. The stack and drive system are moved to the back of the car for a mid-ship arrangement. The seating arrangement is similar to that of the McLaren F1 supercar of the '90s with the driver front and center and the two passengers set back on either side. For now the car is strictly a non-functional styling concept but such concepts from Honda don't usually stay that way for long."
Lambo?
The rear is also strange to me. Looks like jet fuel could blast out of there.
