Dropping A Few New Tracks

Hey everybody.. it's mid December now, that means cold weather for everybody... unless you are going to Australia like me! Or already live there... I'll be sure to pick up some Trashbags-esque tracks for you guys.

Burial - Archangel (Boy 8-Bit Remix)

I really like this track. The dark ambient choir sounds awesome; I haven't heard sounds like that utilized this well in a long time. The whole track has a really ambient tunnel like feel. Reminds me a bit of the Modeselector remix of Bjork that I posted a while back. You might know Boy 8-Bit for his really excellent Black Ghosts remixes as well... I'd suggest picking up one of their mixes to hear more of him.

Wolfgang Gartner - Killer

This track is excellent, I really love the 8-Bit style sound brought in later in the track. Wolfgang Gartner is from Austin Texas (surprising, I know) and his real name is Joey Youngman. Seems like he is throwing on some Euro disguise haha... maybe to give himself more authenticity. Or, as he explains it:
"The new name was created to explore a new sound, without feeling confined to the musical boundaries of his previous projects. 'I was getting bored with house, with that whole sound,' he says. 'I basically hadn’t evolved musically since the late 90's and had been rehashing the same ideas over and over. Something just snapped and I decided it was time for a complete change.'

He describes his sound as "Squares, Saws, Triangles, and the occasional Sine." Seems like the easy way out, but whatever. This track does it for me.

This track hits incredibly hard. Another really good dirty bass track, simple simple.
